PRESS RELEASE
From the people who brought you The Fine Line Live and Get Rich in Dallas now bring a new Web site to the local blogosphere.
Cindy Chaffin and Rich Lopez have created Hint of Mint, a new Web site/blog in Dallas focusing on local GLBT talent. Local media has given a small amount of coverage to this community of performers so Hint of Mint is stepping in to fill the gap. Focusing on musicians, comedians, impersonators and more, Hint of Mint’s goal is to give an image to these artists and more by capturing them on video for the site. We’ll capture live music, drag performances and interviews for the site as well as organize exclusive shows just for Hint of Mint.
But we aren’t stopping there. We want to focus, in the future, on local businesses, venues and non-profits that are GLBT-friendly to expand the vision of the community for Dallas…and even beyond. Additionally, we would like to offer individual profiles on those who are influencing politics, the arts and more.
For now, though, we’ll stick to arts and entertainment and work our way up. We hope you’ll stop by and take a peek…because Hint of Mint is for everyone.

Hey Cindy and Rich,
Great site, very well done! Thanks for the media about the rally today, very cool to see the gang in Dallas helping us out in NYC.
The rally was a great success with speakers and performers coming out to support the cause. Kevin Aviance even showed up with some really great insight into his ordeal last year.
There should be some great footage from the rally up on youtube by the end of the weekend. I’ll keep you posted.
Definitely check out my website when you get a chance. http://www.scottiegage.com. Until then, take good care!
Muah!

Hey Scottie-
Saw some of the news footage of the NYC event. AWESOME! Looking forward to working towards unity and equality for all with everyone around the nation.

Dear Rich Lopez,
awhile back there seemed to be interest shown in a poetry workshop especially for queer poets.
Is this still the case? I ask because the ones who mentioned it did so in this column. I’d sure LIKE to pursue this if the desire’s still there. BTW THANK YOU for all your help with publicity. While 2009 has been something of a rocky year for me, I’ve seen a couple of my short plays staged (one at the LSU Outworks Festival) and a number of my gay themed poems published both online and in anthologies, including an upcoming collection called GAY CITY, Volume 2.
Cheers,
Christopher
